Happy Halloween everyone!

A step in the right direction...I didn't pay any Halloween candy this year! Sure I had to spend $30 on my daughters costume but at least I have $10 and 10 pounds! My son is wearing his costume from last year. With Halloween being my husbands favorite holiday it adds up at our house. I will be glad when tonight is over

I hope that as we go along with this you guys will help me see the error of my ways. I am able to stay on budget and pay attention to my spending for a short period of time. Once I see that I am doing well I think it is OK to go to the mall or pick up a new nail polish (which I so don't need)and a fall back into a rash of mad spending. Guess I am like that alcoholic that thinks its OK to hang out with her friends that still drink. It aint working for me. So, give it to me straight and help me stay on track!

At least I'll be out trick or treating all night with the kids so there's no way I'll be spending any money

First timer here people!
I am starting this blog with the intention of it being a tool to help me pay off my debt and start saving money.
I am not sure how much debt I have at the present moment. I will be figuring that out tonight and will post tomorrow as I believe seeing it in writing will help me realize that I need to do something about it.
I am glad I came across this website as I have already learned a few things and am confident that this online journal will be the key to my success!
