Good news on the estate front!!!! The surrogate court clerk called my house on Thursday to say they received my paperwork (which was what I paid the attorney for but ended up doing on my own) and that all looks good. I just have to pay $165 for an additional filing fee and then things will be done for good. I am a little annoyed at the thought of paying more money but am willing to do so if this closes the estate and I never have to think about it again. Yipee! Merry Christmas to me!

I am trying to enjoy the Christmas spirit but for some reason I am not feeling it this year. I think I have tried to cram too much stuff in too close to the holiday and couldn't really enjoy any of it. I am going to try to plan better for next year so I have time to do some enjoyable things with my family.

I did manage to squeeze in 8.5 hours of OT this last pay period. I will be glad to see it in my next paycheck. I am amazed at how hard it is to find any time to put in as OT. Between getting DD on and off the bus and DS to daycare and working out at the gym I barely have time to make dinner for the family. I think one of my goals for the coming year is to learn how to manage my time better.

I am pumped to start paying off my debt. Now that I don't have to Christmas shop every spare dime is going towards my credit cards. For once in my life I would like to be debt free so I can spend my money on stuff I want. Our house is in need of some serious work and my DH's car is about to die. Knowing I have these 2 expenses ahead of me is what I am hoping will motivate me to pay off the cards. Plus, I won't really have any reason to be going to the mall so hopefully that will limit the impulse buying.
