The day after

December 26th, 2007 at 04:16 am

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed their time with loved ones.

I am back to work today and happy about that. Not that I don't love my family to pieces but 3 days of celebrating is a bit much for me. Growing up it was always just my parents and sister and I for the holidays. Now it is 3 days of celebarating with at least 25 people at each party. It is still a little overwhelming after all the years I have been married. All in all the kids enjoyed their holiday and Santa didn't disappoint.

I ate way too much food and am pumped to go to the gym today. I had a hard time taking my wedding band off this morning to take a shower and I believe it to be because of all the food I consumed! I am looking forward to an extra long workout today since I get out of work early and can dedicate some real time to it. Guess it is becoming a habit, this exercising thing Smile

Among other things I received $50 for Christmas. Can someone please tell me to use it to pay down debt?! My mind is already racing with all the options of things I could buy. Not that I need any of it but I feel myself slipping into that old "I deserve a present, don't I?" mentality that does my financial life no good. I have to just deposit it into my checking account and send it off to one of the credit cards. Lord, give me strength!!

Too funny!!! The old me would be like "Blow that money on something stupid."

But the new me is like "Totally goes towards debt reduction" Good luck and remember, your not the only one feeling those tugs.

Put it towards debt! The sooner you get out out debt, the sooner you can start saving for your wants!
