What, how can that be you ask?!
My dentist happens to be among other things an expert in Cosmetic Dentistry. He has fixed my top teeth to the point I think I belong in Hollywood! They are beautiful but the whole procedure was long, painful, and expensive.
Flash forward to yesterday when I went in to have a crown put on and a few cavities filled. I aksed about sedation which he readily agreed to (taking pity on me for all the dental work and pain I have endured in the past). I took a Valium the night before and some sort of sedative/hypnotic prior to the appointment. DH drove me, they gave me some more medication and I was OUT! 4 hour appointment seemed to last 10 minutes. I have no recollection of the appointment other than going and coming home. It was wonderful!!! I guess this type of sedative is offered to people afraid of the dentist or busy professional who want a lot done at once. I would like to believe I am the latter but I think we all know better...
Anywho, I am off from work today hanging out with DS and working off the last of the sedation. We got hit with a lot of snow last night so I am glad I didn't go to work.
It will be another No Spender today as DH had to take my car to work today due to his being in the shop. I don't expect him home until 8pm so I won't be going anywhere today.
I am thinking about making some homemade chocolate chip cookies for the kids. I am almost done with all the laundry and have picked up around the house. All in all, I am in good shape. I should call in sick more often!
Finally..an enjoyable trip to the dentist

I funded my new teeth with some money my parents left me when they died. I invested 95 % of it and then my financial planner suggested I use 10K for something I wouldn't have otherwise.
I am now saving up to get my bottom teeth done. I am not going to need as many as the top but still figure it is going to be expensive. I have Care Credit which is like a credit card for dental/medical expenses which offers 1 year no interest.
Good luck to you. It is an unbelievable boost going from not so hot teeth to great, white, even teeth!
